What does ‘prescriptive intervention’ even mean?

Prescriptive intervention means we don’t guess—we assess first, then plan.

Every child’s brain and learning profile is different. Click below to see how we use detailed evaluations to design intervention that is targeted, individualized, and built around your child’s specific strengths and needs.

  • We provide specialized, evidence-based intervention for speech-language disorders, literacy, dyslexia, dysgraphia and developmental language disorder (DLD). While our services support academic success, we are not a tutoring program. Therapy is grounded in speech-language pathology and current research and is designed to address the underlying language and learning skills that impact reading, writing, and classroom performance.

  • Every new client begins with a comprehensive evaluation to identify strengths and areas of need across spoken language, reading, writing, and related learning skills. Evaluations include standardized testing, language and literacy samples, and clinical observation to develop a clear, detailed profile of your child’s learning needs. Results are reviewed in depth with families and used to guide individualized, goal-driven intervention planning.

  • We offer in-depth, independent evaluations for language disorders, literacy difficulties, dyslexia, DLD, and related learning differences. These assessments are designed to complement school-based testing and can be shared with IEP teams to support eligibility decisions, goal development, and educational planning. They can also help parents better understand their child’s learning profile, advocate effectively for appropriate services and accommodations, and make informed decisions about intervention and school placement.

  • Dr. Ciesielski provides professional development and training for schools and community organizations on literacy development, dyslexia, spelling, language-based intervention, and assessment-informed practice. Her work emphasizes integrating language and literacy goals into everyday classroom instruction, supporting students with diverse learning profiles, and applying current research to real-world educational settings. Sessions are customized for each audience and may include topics such as structured literacy, evaluating foundational reading and spelling skills, assessment-informed intervention planning, and effective collaboration between educators and speech-language pathologists.
